Nice alternative to waxing
I have been waxing my arms and bikini line for years- so I was used to the discomfort and expense of that process. A friend recommended this product so I figured it would pay for itself essentially after using it once. It wasn't bad at all. A lot of people complain about pain with epilators. I did not find this aspect to be too bad. If you have ever waxed, this product really is pretty comparable in terms of discomfort. It is also true that after you have waxed regularly (a few times) it really doesn't hurt as much. Admittedly, however, when doing my armpits for the first time ever, it really hurt. I'm guessing it will not be too bad the next time.

Timewise- it definitely takes longer than waxing. But if you factor in the time to get to the salon and waiting, it probably cancels out. One leg takes about 15 minutes. It's also nice just being able to do it at home while watching t.v. In the long run it is much more economical. People say using a loofah helps with ingrown hairs- that hasn't been too much of a problem for me.

experiencing epilators
surprise surprise.... something finally working on my stubborn hair.. before using the product i was definitely sure aout two things that it would be worse than wax as far as the pain is concerned and wouldn't be effective for more than two days... the pain doesn't count so much now that my smooth arms and legs have lasted for more than two days.

i guess that the trimming attachment works really well if instructions are read well and then shaver could be avergae rated...

like every other product in the world it has a week point which is that it doesnt have a charging option.

Initially the hair removal hurt, but became less painful the more I used it. Now, I have only a few hairs left on my legs, so removing them is quick and painless, and it lasts 4-5 weeks. The more you use the epilator, the less hair you'll see over time. Those that do grow back are much finer and lighter in color. I do wish the epilator was rechargeable, but overall, I'm very happy with it and highly recommend it.
by MaggieD from Toronto, Ontario	Epilator is fantastic, shaver is average. at August 11, 2008 The epilator is absolutely fantastic once you get over the inital pain, but if you ever waxed it won't be too bad, if not you can awlays buy one of those numbing sprays at the drug stores which make it bareable. You do have to use it a few times to be totally hair free but the results are great and last for a few weeks. The shaver is ok and so is the trimmer as far as that option goes. Other than that it would be nice if it had a charger instead of a wall plug.
