Philip's Epilators at June 6, 2010
About your Satinelle not pulling as well, try this; take a cleaning brush, dip it in alcahol. With your Satinelle running use the wet brush to clean the epilator discs. Place the brush ahead of the point where the discs close. The discs will get coated with your body oils and get too slick to grasp a hair. You can also help by always bathing with shampoo to rid your hair of oil where you wish to epilate. Make sure no hair roots are "packed in" somewhere in the epilating head, and make sure no long hairs have wrapped around gears and other rotating parts.

Philip's Epilators at June 6, 2010
I am a man who has been practicing full body epilation for over 20 years (from chest to feet, nothing above the neck). The only word you need to know about epilators is SATINELLE. I haven't yet tried the new Philips Bliss Spa model. But any SATINELLE, especially the ones with CERAMIC DISCS are the FIRST, LAST, AND ONLY word in epilators. I have owned every brand that I can find: Emjoi (3 models), Epilady (2 models), Remington (1 model), and Norelco / Philips Satinelle (3 models). Most recently I added a Panasonic. Besides the SATINELLES, I would not recommend any brand except the Panasonic. The Panasonics are very gentle, at the expense of not being real thorough. Use it to "clear the way" for your SATINELLE, and use your SATINELLE on the more delicate skin. Save your Satinelle for the "finish work."

Replacement heads at May 24, 2010
I purchased my Satinelle years ago. I love it, however it does not seem to be pulling as well. I think I need a replacement head. Really don't want to purchase a new one. Model number is HP2836. Can you help me?

Look on ebay at April 21, 2010
I don't think they sell these in the US anymore. I bought my first one at Sears 15 years ago. I had to replace it when I broke it, my fault completely. It took me over three months of scouring stores, online vendors and patient waiting to get another one...it was awful. They have a bunch online selling from Canada...I highly recommend. They work really well and they're built to last, I've had my current one for about 10 years and I haven't had any problems so far.
Go to ebay and type in philips epilator satinelle, and a bunch should show up. It's worth the money.

This is the best epilator I have come across with. I love it! I have quite some facial hair and I use it on my sideburns and under my chin. Ive had it since I was 11 when it first came out and it has never bailed on me.
